A guide to support the selection of product-related environmental performance indicators
The establishment of measurable goals and performance indicators are a fundamental element of any successful ecodesign program, as they can provide an early warning to prevent environmental damage. In this Guide, you are invited to know how to use environmental performance indicators (EPIs) to change the way your products are developed by considering their environmental performance.
This Guide is intended primarily to environmental managers responsible to define the set of indicators to measure the environmental performance of products, but it can also be useful for product developers and all staff of a company looking to measure the environmental performance of their products. The Guide is composed by the full text here presented, a support material illustrating the five step approach in selecting EPIs, and a digital database containing more than 250 EPIs.
